Sharon Rempel was the first MA Conservation Studies, historic gardens and landscapes option museum specialist working in B.C. and Alberta in the 1990s. Her degree was earned at the Institute of Advanced Architectural Studies in York England. She went to the school on full scholarship from the B.C. Heritage Branch (1991).

The B.C. Government Provincial Archives in Victoria has Sharon's garden designs and all research materials relating to the designs. The project list includes: The Grist Mill at Keremeos (1880s); Fort Steele Heritage Town (1890s); Craigflower Farm (1880s); Highlands Heritage Society, Alberta Highlands neighbourhood (1909); Jasper National Park (1920s).
